Art Frenzy Watercolor Classes– Adult

My Watercolor painting series will include color mixing, beginner brush and texture techniques needed to complete simple paintings. Each month will focus on something new; such as mastering the watercolor wash, watercolor pencils, masking fluid, more advanced fan brush techniques, using salt for texture and many more! Students will watch each technique demonstrated step-by-step, then given the chance to practice and complete a simple painting usually by the end of each 2- hour lesson. A supply list will be available for each 4-week session at the Art Frenzy Studio. Class size is limited to 5 students due to space. Sessions are 4 weeks in length. Palettes, paper towels, tissue/kleenex, and a few trigger spray bottles, salt, mister bottles, clipboards and Hake brushes will be supplied for classroom use.

Week 1: Value Scale, Color Wheel, Color Mixing, Washes, Texture Techniques

Week 2: Pampas Grass Painting: Flat Wash, Lifting Techniques.
Supplies: 1" Wash Brush or Hake, Script Liner, Tissue/Kleenex, Paper Towels.
Colors: Cerulean Blue, Indigo.


　
Week 3: Cattail Painting: Flat/Graded Washes, Wash Brush and Script Liner Use.
Supplies: 1" Wash Brush or Hake, Script Liner, Paper Towels.
Colors: Indian Yellow, Cobalt, Burnt Sienna, Indigo, Sap Green



Week 4: Palm Tree Painting: Wet-into-wet sky, spattering and dry brush techniques
Supplies: Script Liner, Round Brushes, Toothbrush, Small Trigger Spray Bottle.
